How long does it take to get something off my credit report that I alread paid?

I'm going for a Home Loan and have a low score and 3 things on my credit report were paid already

How long does it take to get something off my credit report that I alread paid?
7 years from your last activity. So, if you had bad credit, and in the 6th year you thought you were being a good person and paying it off, you get bad credit for another 7 years.

Also, a good resource is this one...

Have a nice day.

Reply:You can ask the company who put the negative rating on your credit report to remove it. They will do it within a couple of months depending on the exact circumstances.

After my divorce my ex opened a credit card with me as the co-signer (probably faked my signature) and then defaulted on it which showed up on my credit report. I got in touch with the Bank and after giving me a hard time initially (...only the primary card holder can remove you from the card etc.) they removed me from his credit card and erased the negative rating on my credit reports. Hope this helps.

Reply:When applying for a home loan your credit report will be reviewed and you may be required to provide a number of other details, including: Employment and income records, Tax Returns for the last few years List of assets, List of liabilities and what you owe, Your budget showing monthly living expenses so that you can demonstrate an ability to pay.

With this information you and your lender will be able to determine the kind of home loan and size of the right mortgage for you. In some cases, you can obtain a pre-approval or pre-qualified certificate, which shows how much you can borrow so that you can then shop for homes in an appropriate price range.
Reply:A low score usually only makes a half a point difference, so its not a big deal. Some lenders won't penalize you at all if the negative report has been over 3 years.

It varies based on the type of negative, paid late, not paid, collection and paid, or collection and unpaid.

Reply:It can take up to 7 years but you can go contact the companies that you paid off and they will give you a letter of credit stating that your bill was paid and when it was paid. Hope this helps I had to do the samething for my home loan.
Reply:You will have to check with the reporting agency, as they each have different rules about what stays on and when it is no longer reported. But it is usually 7 years before incidents disappear from record.
