How to fix a name mix-up on your credit report?

When my financial advisor pulled up my credit report, for some reason my mom's credit report comes up instead of mine. My mom and I have very similar names, which is probably why it happened. But all of the information on the report that pulls up (my moms) correctly identifies my mom, without a mistake. How do I go about correcting it so that my report comes up when its pulled and not my mom's info?

It should come up as your information if they pull your report using your SSN instead of your name.

This website gives information on how to dispute your credit report and how to fix this error.
Reply:Look at http://www.ftc.gov and navigate to the subsite involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You can report the mix-up to all of the agencies and also request in writing that each creditor who made the erroneous report correct the error. If they fail to do so, you have the potential of a lawsuit against them under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Good luck!
Reply:Didn't you JUST ask this???
