How do you get debt info off your credit report to pay it off?

I'm trying to clean up my credit but there are things on my report that i have no clue about...I'm sure they belong to me but I'm not sure how to contact the company that i owe in order to pay them. Some of them don't even specify which company they are and none of them have an address or phone number...???

How do you get debt info off your credit report to pay it off?
Heres the way to do it.

Print your credit report, make copies.

Go buy some stamps.

Identify anything that looks fishy or innacurate...

Send a letter to each bereau asking them to remove this innacurate information or to provide you with the correct information.

They have 30 days to do this or they have to delete it.

Sometimes they can verify the debt and do this and sometimes they cant do it and they have to delete it.

BUT BE CAREFUL!

If you have any old debts on there that are in collections, having the CR agent try and verify this will wake a sleeping monster, hope this helps.

contact local'free' legal for info about credit laws.
Reply:Yes, the collection agencies may not know where you live, but if you contact the bureau to get addresses, the bureau will share your information with the collection agency as part of the debt verification process.

You may still legally owe this debt, but you are opening a Pandora's box!

Yellow light {proceed with caution}.
Reply:Do not contact companies there are legal ways to re-establish your credit and possibly not have to pay those old accounts. Invest in a professional credit program you wont regret it www.ncnlcorp.com
