How many points will my credit report go up to?

I have 11 in bad standing 1 is paid off and 7 more will be taken care of tomorrow. How long will it be before it show up on my report and will I get some points for it. Do we have 2 different scores for getting a credit card and leasing a car?

Credit Bureaus update each month. It can take about a month or more, depending how busy they are, to show the accounts as paid and in good standing. When making payments, be sure to ask for a receipt . Let them know in writing that you want your account to show as paid. If you are negotiating with collectors, ask them to remove the collection before you pay in full. Be sure to do this in writing not phone calls so you have proof.

Unfortunately, if you have 11 accounts in bad standing aka collections, it will be on your record for 7 years, unless you make a deal with the collection agency to remove it. Collections show negative on your account and good credit takes time.

Your best best would be to pay all your bills on time, reestablish your credit with secured credit cards if you don't have credit cards and be diligent about your credit.

You can get a credit score simulation at www.myfico.com

Good luck
