How do I pay something off from my credit report when the company no longer exists?
if the company doesn't exist, dispute the bill with the credit bureau's. If they can't verify the bill, they should drop it off your report. I recommend that you use www.annualcreditreport.com. All three credit bureau's collaborated on this and will give you a free credit report once a year from all three of them, and also lets you dispute items on your report. Good Luck
Reply:Call the credit bureau... they should be able to verify that they are closed and they will take it off your report
Reply:Call the 3 major credit bureaus (Transunion, Experian, Equifax) and dispute it! They should be able to take it off.

Don't forget you can make a note to your credit bureau reports if you need to. The bureaus will help you with that if they can't help you the other way.

Good luck!
Reply:You can't "wipe the report clean" regardless. Even if you do pay it off, the default still remains on the record.
Reply:Call the 3 companies (experian, transunion, and equifax) and talk to them about it. If there is no way you can pay it they may be able to take it off for you. I am sure it would still show that you did not pay for it but I wuld think they would be able to wipe the balance out.
Reply:contact your local credit bureau they will be your best bet. They may even be able to get they removed from your credit report
