What is the best way to check my credit report?

I have no reason to think that there would be a problem with my credit report, but I would like to check it because I have NEVER done so! Can anyone recommend a good way to do it?

It is always a good idea to keep track of your credit history once a year. In fact, I am going to get my report too this week from one of the credit bureaus. It'll help you see the improvements or possible downside in your credit history.

Also you can find some advice here...

That is a completely free way to check all three credit reports(experian, transunion and equfax). As a US citizen you have the legal right to review your credit report once each year from all three. What I do is check one of the reports each 4 months. That way I get a look at one different report three time each year. Do NOT take the credit reporting agencies teaser links to get the credit score unless you really need the credit score. That is not part of the free deal and will cost you. View the reports and see if anything shows up in error. If not, who cares about the credit score. If so, the refute the false info as is your legal right.

Get your credit score only if you are about to apply for credit. You need to know what your credit history and score is BEFORE you apply for credit. You don't want to find out about problems after you've applied for credit.
Reply:Everyone is entitled to a free credit report once a year from the three reporting agencies. Write them a letter requesting one.
