How long is paying off a car or credit card (good credit) on your credit report?

Cars and credit cards that I paid off 7 years ago are no longer on the report, are they?

Usually credit cards that are not in use and have been paid off prior to seven years are no longer listed. If however the cards are in good standing and still in use then they will just be showing up as active on your reports.
Reply:Bad things stay on your credit report for at least 7 years. Not sure how long good things stay on your report. But a vehicle loan that I took out in spring 2004 and paid off within 3 days (was not sure if deposit had cleared) is still on my credit report.

Credit cards that are open will still show up of course. Some of my cards closed in good standing are still listed with last reported date as far back as 12/1999 and 2000.
Reply:not likely, unless they were derogatory
