How to you obtain a copy of your credit report?

How do I get a copy of my credit report? How do I get it for free or who and where do I go to pay for it?

How to you obtain a copy of your credit report?
AnnualCreditReport.com is the site set up to get free copies of you report from each of the three credit bureaus. This is the site approved by the FTC.

If you want your score, you have to pay for it.

Be wary of other sites such as FreeCreditReport.com. They require you to sign up for their monitoring service. If you don't cancel within the 30-day trial period, you will be charged. They don't make it easy to cancel.
Reply:I'm a member of freecreditreport.com because I like getting an email every time there's a change to my credit report and I'm trying to improve my credit, but they DO make it difficult to cancel!

The official website to get all three of your free reports is annualcreditreport.com or call 1-877-322-8228.
Reply:go to www.annualcreditreport.com--new law passed that we have a right to view our credit reports once per year for free. You are linked there to sites that you can pay for monitoring services or pay to see your score--but the actual report can be viewed and printed for free. www.myfico.com allows you to see your score, offers advise to clean up your credit.
